Automatic bank reconciliation
Matches bank lines to transactions, including batch payments, transfers and foreign currency.
Hi, I'm Aalok Kumar.
Backend engineer at Tinvio, building Jaz, a cloud accounting platform for businesses in Southeast Asia. I don't call a fix done until I can prove it.

I like problems where almost right isn't good enough: a tax filing, a digital signature, a customer's bill.
Since April 2025 I've worked on billing, e-invoicing and tax systems. I like to understand why something broke before I touch it, keep changes small, and call a job done only when I can show it works.
Matches bank lines to transactions, including batch payments, transfers and foreign currency.
One invoice per billing account each month, with credit notes and multiple currencies.
Create once, apply to many accounts. All-or-nothing, so nothing is half saved.

The projects above are my own contributions, built as part of larger engineering teams.
I'm looking for backend and platform roles. Email is the fastest way to reach me, and I'm happy to walk through any project in detail.
A live service that files invoices with Singapore, Malaysia and Philippine tax systems needed rebuilding on a new technology stack. It was in daily use, so it couldn't go down or change its answers.
Proving the new service behaved exactly like the old one. I ran both side by side on real traffic and compared every answer. That surfaced two small differences no test had found. Once both matched perfectly, I switched over.
Every update is recorded, backed by tests.
Documents keep moving even when a provider is slow to reply.
At high volume, background work like documents and emails was slowing the app down for users.
Making the queue fair to every customer without slowing it down or letting two workers take the same job.
Imports, mass voids and bulk payments run in the background. Under load, jobs could run twice, block each other, or get stuck after a restart.
Making recovery itself safe to run more than once, even when several servers try at the same moment.
Monthly, yearly and pay-as-you-go plans, with add-ons, trials, discounts, multiple currencies, and accounting firms paying for their clients. It all had to stay correct through upgrades, downgrades and cancellations.
One calculation drives both the quote and the charge.
Repeated clicks or requests never bill twice.
Payments made at the same moment are always captured.
Events survive crashes and restarts.
A complete signing product, from templates to the public signing page, built and released in under two weeks.
A to-do inbox that started with "documents to sign" and grew to "documents to approve", built so new task types plug in easily.
The complete life of a tax return for Philippine businesses: from preparing the form to paying the tax bureau.
